Suc-cess: [səkˈses]

Not eating one bite of the ranch pasta salad
as you make it for the BBQ.
(Even though it smelt like heaven.)
Not even one taste.

{That is success}

a project or two

I am a starter.

I am not a finisher.

I start projects and let them sit to collect all kinds of things... Dust, regret, nagging from my husband, and eventually some sort of ending fate. Poor projects.

I bought a little too much of this way awesome fabric cause
I loved it.
Instead of saving it for another project and probably never using it again, I went crazy with the sewing machine. Needless to say, nothing else got done that week,
but who cares.

I bought the fabric to make this...

...but totally rocked the boat and made these too.

It was a much needed living room make over.

Mr. Mom

So Jared is totally rocking the Mr. Mom thing. He has officially quit working, and he is doing most of the house work while I sleep in the morning after my night shift.
{Read about our new schedule}
This morning I was particularly impressed. look what I found when I woke up...

Kroten waiting patiently for lunch.

Jared making and cutting up a tuna sandwich for Kroten.

Laundry was folded.

Dishes, done, including pots and pans being handwashed.

Thanks Jared.
Your the best.
XOXO
Kristen

PS. The post under this one is dedicated to Jared.
Watch it. It is hilarious. It makes my day!

Could this be any more frustrating????

The scroll ball in my mouse wont scroll down.

This really puts a cramp in my blog stalking style.

I wasn't kidding...

...when I said he likes cars.

Climber

Kroten is growing so incredibly fast, he does something new everyday. I am truly blown away by his development. It is such a miracle to watch him grow and play, I cannot believe how amazing it is.

Here is a little video of something new he is doing. He is getting so mobile and can do so much more than he could even a few weeks ago. Sorry the video is so grainy, I think it was just too dark, but you get the idea. I had to include the first part because it is so cute, every time we get the camera out, he thinks were are taking a picture, it makes me laugh every time.

Good-bye new friend.

After our packed weekend with uncle Jamison, he had to go home. We offered him a full time nanny job, but the pay just wasn't as good as back home, and he needs to find a wife, so we had to say good-bye. We drove up to portland to drop him off at the airport yesterday.

It just wouldn't be a road trip with Kroten and Jamison if they didn't take a nap together.

Saying good-bye and giving loves.

"Wave Bye-Bye to uncle Jamison"

This wasnt a chance picture or a mistake, he was really making this face and crying. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. This pictures says exactly what I have been trying to express in the last few posts...Kroten loves his uncle Jamison.

Party Time... LOTS OF PICTURES!

Kroten's birthday extravaganza

{day three}

We had a little BBQ out side on the lawn at our apartment. It was fun, we had burgers, potato salad and cake. Everybody brought Kroten such cool gifts. I am really grateful for all our great friends. I still can't believe he is one, but it was so much fun celebrating such a cool monument in his little but significant life.

I designed this little invite for his cool car party. He loves cars and pushes them around and make the vroom sound, so we thought it appropriate to use it as a theme. I need to get that on video soon.

Kroten and Grandpa waiting for the BBQ to start.

Daddy helping Kroten open all his great presents.

YAY new toys!!

Kroten eating his cake, it took him a while to warm up to it, but once he realized what it was, he went to town. He didn't make as big of a mess as I expected, but it was still fun to watch. After we took the cake away, he still kept eating all the stuff that fell on to his tray. He loved cake.

Kroten: "Grandpa, you really should try this, it is fantastic."

Grandpa: "Dont mind if I do Kroten."

This is the cake that I made for the party, it was fun and I think it turned out ok. Kroten wanted some of that one too.

Kroten wasn't the only one who liked his new toys.

And of course... Kroten and uncle Jamison playing and spending quality time together. I am surprised after eating all that cake that he didn't throw up on him.
