Way to go!!!

I try to go for a big walk a few times a week, and we live right by the bike path, it is so nice to be right by the path and it is such an awesomely beautiful day today, I couldn't pass it up. Sometimes I forget how good it feels to get out and do something like that. Today something cool happened, I was towards the end of what sometimes feels like an endless five miles, pushing Kroten in his stroller and a lady came running by with her dog and said "way to go mom...good for you." That just made my day! And I can't help but think how proud I am of myself for doing the right thing to get healthier. Every once in a while you have to pat yourself on the back and say...

"Way to go mom... Good for you."

It is motivating to know your doing good, that lady will never know that she gave me the push to keep going... Skinny here I come!

2 New Chompers.

These ones were not fun!!!

Batter Up.

For an early anniversary present, I got Jared tickets to see his favorite team, the Tigers, play against the Seattle Mariners. So last weekend we drove up to seattle for a packed weekend of fun. We went to pikes street market, ate sushi, visited with family, and (drum roll please) THE TIGERS WON... it was an excellent trip.

All of us sitting in our awesome seats before the game, I was sure we would catch a foul ball from here, we didn't, but we could see everything.

We could see all the players so close... this is number 15 Brandon Inge, one of Jared's favorite.

I am not sure why they have this fish, but it was cool, and Kroten was pretty interested.

Kroten and His very proud papa at the ball game. By this time, Kroten was getting a little restless and tired. But he was pretty good the whole game, he is going to love it when he is older.

This is Kroten cheering for the wrong team. Every-time the crowd would cheer, Kroten would get all excited and start clapping, unfortunately there were not enough Tigers fans to get kroten to cheer for them. It was cute how excited he was.

After the game, we were very excited that the Tigers won, we like to think we are good luck, and Kroten was very tired.

Boooo for easter candy!!

So far my New years resolution has gone pretty well, I have lost 15 pounds!! I am pretty proud of myself, except for the fact that I have a long way to go. I have kind of hit a wall, it was my birthday and then Jared's and then my mom's and then easter... you get the idea, I am struggling a bit. Jared has one cupboard in the kitchen for all his snacks and lunch stuff, I have been pretty good at staying out of it, but the peanut butter cups and mini pastel snickers from easter are calling my name. So naturally I needed some motivation. Now this sign covers the cupboard. We'll see if it does any good.

And just incase you all need a reminder (cause I do) of PART OF the reason I need this sign, here he is...

It is a really, really good thing he is so darn cute... I guess it is worth it.

Kroten's first Easter.

These pictures should sum it all up...

now I have to clean up the mess!

Did you just say picnic?

YES I DID. The weather is getting better and spring is around the corner. I am so excited. This week for Family home Evening we went for a picnic, it was like 60 degrees. I loved it.
I have been waiting so long to put Kroten in shorts, we have so many cute shorts for him I just couldn't help it, I had to put him in them. His little legs were so chubby and cute.

We BBQ'ed Shishkabobs. MMM they were so good.

And After the picnic, we fed the ducks. This Goose got so close, I was scared it was going to bite him. They wanted his bread.

I really like this picture, he was so into the ducks. And he wouldn't share his bread. Isn't he so cute.

Conference and Kitties

Kroten watching the prophet speak, I can't wait till we can tell him what that means.

Kroten mangleing the Kittie, he isnt as gentle as he should probably be.

I think he likes it. he gets all gitty and happy. But then he starts to cry, I think they kind of scare him.

Baseball.

In our house, excitement is in the air as the baseball season goes into full swing. We went to our first ball game of the season yesterday. It was a Ducks game. It was fun and it was a beautiful day... We gladly welcome all aspcts of spring.

Kroten and Daddy enjoying the nice weather and the ball game.

I know it is bad, but a ball game wouldnt be a ball game with out a hotdog. I was so happy.

Kroten and Grandpa with their hotdog. (dont wory, kroten only ate bread and mustard.)

OH MY... it was soooo good. and worth every bit and every calorie.

Congradulations, your caller number 3!!!

Jared has a 30 minute commute to and from work, so he listens to the radio a lot. He put the radio station's number on speed dial in his phone so he can be the third caller and win something cool. The other day, he got lucky and was caller number three. He won tickets to the flash back movie of the week which was Roger Rabbit. So we went, it was pretty fun. It seemed like a different movie now that I am older. It wasnt the movie that was so fun, it was seeing Jared so excited about winning something.

Belnap Hot springs

I know I am going to sound like a broken record, but Oregon is so beautiful. We went hiking up at Belnap Hot Springs this last weekend. It was a little rainy, but I like that. It was so green and pretty and there are so many trails and cool gardens back in there. It was fun. It is also fun because they have a big natural hot srping pool. We had a lot of fun and can't wait till the weather is better to go back and go camping. There are a lot of pictures with this one, I figured no one would care.

Pies.

We had a pie activity at church and I made two pies from scratch. I even made the crust. One was a strawberry rhubarb, and the other was banana cream. It was SOOO good!!! I must say that I am pretty proud of myself.
The lattice top was kinda difficult to figure out, but I did it. It was fun to try something new. I think I might do it a again.

10 Months Old.

WOW, I cant believe that Kroten will be a year old in two months. Some times I dont notice how fast he is growing and then it hits me how big he has gotten. He is crawling, rolling, pulling himself up on things, eating table foods, sleeping through the night (most of the time,) saying BAAA (like a sheep,) growing out of his clothes, giving kisses and fives, and being loved to death. 10 Months... Wow.

He loves to blow raspberries with his lips. It is one of his many ways to communicate.

Still sucking his thumb. I am getting a little worried that he will never stop, but it is so cute so I am not too worried yet. I am just so glad that he can self soothe.

First trip to the park.

Kroten loved the park. It was a little cold (as you can see by the fleece sleeper) but he had a blast. He loved the slide, but he was a little weary of the swing, he was shaking because he was scared. It was so cute to see him so excited. I can't wait for a warmer day to take him, it will be so much fun. I cannot believe how big he is getting, He is such a cutie, but time flies by.
