Photography part 3.

I hope you all aren't getting sick of hearing about my mad photography skills, cause here is another post about it.

I entered three of my photos into an art show on campus, two of them made it. But the really really good news is that out of all the photographs entered, I got FIRST PLACE. (Jared said I have to put in that I got 100 bucks for it.) I am honestly surprised. It was another abstract photo, I titled it focus. Isn't that cool, I have a photo with a title.

On a more humble note, I am so grateful that I have been able to get my education. Its not even the degree, that I am so grateful for. It is the experiences and knowledge that I have gained. I would have never learned that I was interested in photography, I would never have made wedding announcements, I would never have figured out that I am absolutely terrible at pottery, or that I love to learn. I have learned so much about myself and my Heavenly Father being here at school. I have felt stressed, excited, overwhelmed, happy, sad, and even depressed at times, and it was all worth it. Lets chalk it up to experience. I say I hate Rexburg, but what a blessing it has been to be here at BYU-Idaho in good ole' Rexburg Idaho (snow and all.)

Fall+Pumpkins=Halloween.

Yay for Halloween. Last night we carved pumpkins and made Carmel apples. it was tons of fun. We are excited for Friday. Here are just a few pics of our Halloween fun so far.
We went to the only pumpkin patch in south east Idaho, and it was all picked over, the only pumpkins left were green, so we ended up getting them at albertsons. I cant wait to go to Lone Pine farms to get our pumpkins next year.

we tried to carve Kroten's pumpkin to look like him, I think we got it pretty close. I dont think he liked the pumpkin. Can you tell?

This is our pumpkin family. Didn't they turn out cute?

And finally yummy, messy, Carmel apples.

Our Little Dinosaur

Every time Kroten wakes up from a nap, we hear him in his room making weird noises. We call him our dinosaur. we finally caught it on tape. So here is a video of Kroten's dinosaur impression. Don't feel bad laughing, we laugh every time he does it. I think his throat is starting to hurt. Oh and we get a kick out of his facial expressions too.
CRAZY KID.

Photography Update.

I have some good news, and I have some better news. I will tell you the good news first; I got third place on the photo of Kroten that I submitted to the photography contest on campus. I heard that there were a lot of good portraits, so I am really excited about that. The better news is that I submitted another photo to the abstract category and got first place. I was a little surprised about that. It is a photo of the brush roll of a street sweeper. I know... Abstract. ;)

Photography.

Another thing people might not know about me is that I am minoring in photography. We just recently had an assignment to photograph an emotion and I really liked the photograph that I turned in. I will post more pics at the end of the semester, but for now here is one of Kroten that I am pretty proud of. I also turned it into a portrait competition on campus , so I will let you know how that goes.

HAHA... you thought you were funny!!!

Here is a little story about Revenge...
We left our camera at our friends Jessica and Eric's house. They thought they were so FUNNY by taking a whole bunch of goofy pictures of themselves and random objects in their house before returning the camera.

What pranksters they are.

So in friendly retaliation here is one of the beautiful pictures of Jessica that was taken during their photo shoot.

Who's laughing now???

Just incase you were wondering... I love you Jess. I am so glad we have this kind of relationship.
PS you look hot in this picture.
