gettin' buff

Jared and Kroten have been working on their muscles. I can't help but love both of them for it! One is working harder then the other, but I won't say who, Ill let you figure it out for your self... 

maybe he'll be an artist?

Kroten  has become quite the little artist these days. He loves to draw and paint. His drawings are so detailed. He draws little squiggles and lines and can even now draw people, they need a little interpretation, but they are people none-the-less.

I love my little artist.

snow day

It snowed... and stuck... here in eugene... it was a treat.  

Incase you are not from these parts, I say treat because it comes for one day, school, work, church or any other event that requires you to go out of your house, is cancelled, and then it melts, and goes away till next year. 

It was a fun day. 

We taught k man how to catch snow flakes...

and to build a snow man...

He basically loved it.

then drank cocoa...

Then got a big boy haircut which he didn't shed one tear for... he is such a big boy.

and the baby slept through the whole thing!

It was a good day.

day twenty one: hands

Day seventeen: staying in.

When its yucky outside, and we stay in, which happens a lot, I let him draw on the windows with washable markers. Ill do anything to keep him occupied. 

Day sixteen: together.

Todays photo challenge involved a self portrait... you all know how much I (LOVE) to be in pictures :/ but I rose to the challenge. This is something that K man and I do together.

Day twelve: the eyes

There must have been a squirrel out the window, cause he wouldn't stop looking out there. 

Day thirteen: Jewelry

K man doesn't wear much jewelry, but he did he this "sticker" for going potty all by himself.

Day Eleven: their dreams

I Know I am a little behind. Oh well, I will either catch up or just skip ahead. There are a few topics that I don't care for, so I might just skip em'. 
Todays topic was dreams and hopes. It was kind of hard because I dont know that kman even knows what he wants for lunch let along in the future. But I do know that he loves baseball, and is pretty good at it for a two year old. So weather it is mommys dream or his own, today is baseball.

Day ten: a space where they are comfortable.

He would, if he could, spend all day throwing rocks in the river.

We have taught him regular kisses, eskimo kisses, butterfly kisses, and his newest adaptation is the shark kiss and I LOVE IT!

my favorite gift from k man's little heart is, hands down, a kiss (of any form).

I love to hate the fact that little man wakes us up at the butt-crack of dawn demanding pancakes... EVERY MORNING!

the joy of LOVE

I joined up with this awesome photographer who is doing a FREE 28 day photo class. (its not too late to sign up click here.)This is an awesome opportunity. She will be sending out an email everyday with a tutorial on making your pictures better and a topic of the day. I will be joining in with tons of others to learn more and challenge myself to take better pictures.

The idea is to pick a person or persons that you love and photograph them every day, using the topic she sends each day. I have three valentines, but I am choosing to capture Kroten because most days, he is the hardest one to love. But I do love him, and I think if I focus my efforts from this project on him, I will find more and more and more reasons that I love him. 

So are you ready for lots and lots of photos of kman? (I promise to throw kem kem in the mix too, how could I not, she is so darn cute.)

new fishies

Our old fish, Franklin, died.

So, we got two new fishies, Frank and Lin.

Kroten asked "When do we get to eat them?"

Two days later, Lin died, and now lives with Jesus.

Kroten then asked "Do we get to eat it now?"

I guess Kroten likes sea food, so I bought a salmon and we ate it for dinner.
