spontaneous coast trip

On a Wednesday morning we were planning out our day and decided we didn't  have much important to do that day. So we loaded up our warm clothes and headed to the beach. Something we have wanted to do for a while now. It was wonderful and stress free. It was just what I needed right now. Moments like these help me to love my little family and endure the hard times.

Leaves!!!!

My parent have a HUGE tree in the back yard that dumps leaves like crazy. Jared raked them all into a ginormous pile and the kids had WAY too much fun.  Wet soggy Oregon leaves makes for cold, wet, soggy kiddos BUt nonetheless, they had fun!

Now you see her...

 Now you don't...

K man made me these two hearts today and told me its because he loves me. i set them on the counter and he keeps bringing them to me because he loves me. I finally convinced him they need to stay on the counter so i don't loose them. He then asked that i sleep with them on my night stand. He was also extra lovey tonight. Its moments like those that make the rest of the craziness bareable.

Trick or Treat

This is the first year that we have really gone door to door trick or treating. I have decided that it is a lost art. But it was fun. kemiry only lasted a little while, so we dropped her off at my parents house and hit up my old stomping grounds. It brought back a lot of old Halloween memories.

Yes my hubby is a hairy monster and an awesome sport. I love him.

I have decided that Halloween is an awesome holiday to bring families together. I really enjoyed the uninterrupted attention that I was able to give to my kiddos today. It was 100% about them and enjoying it. :)

Carved!

Finding a time to carve this year was like pulling teeth between my photo schedule and Jared's work schedule. So we did it at nine in the morning! Atleast it got done. And this is the only pic we have of it this year. I was so tired I was not interested in touching the camera. And ken wanted a princess pumpkin. :)

Pumpkin patch

I love that the pumpkin patch has become a tradition for us. It was so much fun, and kem even is starting to understand. She picked out a really ugly pumpkin and insisted it was hers.  We even walked away from it and she came back and found it. :)

Yay for fall!

More sandiego pictures...

Loved it... would go back in a heart beat!!!

Quick post about sandiego

Loved every second of sandiego. It was warm and sunny. the beach was fantastic. I wish we could have spent more time on the beach. I loved sitting and doing nothing and I loved playing in the water and finding shells. It was awesome.

Went to a swap meet... it was really fun. bought some cute shoes. :)

A pelican. A real pelican!!!

I told Jared before we left that all I wanted was to sit and have a drink on the beach! It was just as amazing as I thought it would be!

Someone got a little tired...

Loved the sunsets!

He put on his sunscreen all by himself! :)

Mormon Battalion in downtown sandiego. It was so hot... I wanted to go back to the beach, but it was pretty cool!

Authentic mexican reteraunt... the habenero salsa was a little too spicy for jason.
