I wanna decorate!

So you always here songs like I left my heart in San Fransisco, and my heart belongs in Texas. How come no one ever says anything about Eugene Oregon, I will be the first. I honestly think I left my heart in Eugene Oregon, or at least it longs for it. I miss it. So to bring a little of that sweet, hippy feeling to our humble abode, I am going to decorate the babies room with some Saturday market originals. I am so excited. We haven't bought these paintings yet, and I keep telling my mom to get her bum downtown and look for em, but I can promise they will be on the wall when bundle of joy #1 gets here. Go check out this website, these paintings are fabulous, I cannot wait to show my boy what he has to look forward to, hippies are great!

I love the paintings title "Elephant" and "Portrait of a Giraff." They are so cute.

7 1/2 moths prego!!

Wow, the time does fly. I cannot beleive were already almost done. Were at 30 weeks now, which means that we only have 10 more weeks, 2 1/2 months or only 68 more days left till take off (however you wanna count it down.) He is moving so much, you can actually see him moving across my belly now. Crazy, I know. I am starting to feel uncomfortable, it is almost impossible to bend over, and getting out of bed is a joke. Jared is getting excited for the baby to wear all the Detroit Tigers stuff we have gotten him, and over all we are just getting excited to hold him. So soon, I cant beleive it.

Jared's B-day Celebration.

So Jared's birthday was this last Saturday, and we had a Tiger themed day. I thought it only appropriate since everything he got was Detroit Tigers. I decorated the living room with streamers. They were supposed to be Blue and Orange, but the orange ended up being yellow, I guess were supporting Michigan as well! My parents got him a Tigers jersey, which was totally cool, and now he is wondering when we get to go to a Tigers game, Thanks Dad. If he looks a little tired in these pictures, its because he had just woken up. It started in the morning after he slept in later than he has since we have been married, 8:30 (I know ridiculous.) Than for his first cake, we had coffee cake which we are now changing the name to Tiger cake, considering the occasion. Than for lunch he got another cake that was rainbow chip, MMMM.
In the evening, we drove to Idaho Falls and went to the army surplus store, that is where he wanted to go. Than we went to Texas Road House where you can throw your peanut shells on the ground.

And we bought a crib, Happy Birthday Jared! HEHE. I am not sure if this picture shows how happy Jared is to own a crib, or how heavy it was, either way, you get the idea!

Dont adjust your monitor.. its supposed to be Orange.

What is with the orange??? I know you are asking yourself this very question. I was looking at the blue the other day and I was feeling depressed. If you haven't heard yet, I am so excited for spring. I decided to ring in the new season now, hoping that it would persuade mother earth to bring the sunshine to rexburg. I wanna put a different background up, but until I learn how to do that, we will have fun with this daisy orange!

Spring... kind of

As you can see, spring is coming. I have been patiently (sort of) watching the snow melt. If you look very closely at this picture, you will see grass!! I promise it is there look hard! It may still be brown and muddy, but it is ground, I can see it, and I am overflowing with joy. I cannot wait to go on a picnic.
This morning we tried to give spring a big welcome by making eggs in a basket. if you cannot tell, it is supposed to be shaped like flowers and hearts. The flowers are for spring and the hearts are because I love Jared. Just in case you didn't already know that!

Birthday Fun!!!

Ok so if you read my previous post, you will get the wrong idea of how great my birthday was. Once all the chores were done, and my classes were over for the day, Jared picked me up from my last class and walked home with me. Ill be honest without hurting his feelings, he is not generally to good with surprises without prompting, but you will soon see that he is improving by leaps and bounds ( he is so great!) When we got home, it was hard to miss the streamers he had decorated the front door with, only to proceed into the house and find more streamers all hanging from the ceiling. He had bought roses and put them in our wedding vases around the house. He did a great job of decorating.

Then he had me open my present which was a package of cadbury chocolate eggs, and Meet the Robinson's. if you have not seen this movie, it is great. I promise it will go down in history with the greats; Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Lion King, etc.

For dinner, which I was a little stressed about, (see previous post) we went to this great little mexican restaurant here in Rexburg and ate chips and enchiladas till we couldn't handle the carbs anymore. Actually I am not sure which came first our full bellies or our empty plates, it was SO good.

If this sounds like the best birthday ever, just wait, my favorite part is still coming!!

After the carbs from dinner had settled and we felt like we needed some more, we had chocolate fondue. Now if you have never had this, you have never experienced pure bliss wrapped in a blanket made of chocolate. IT IS SO GOOD!!!! I can guarantee that there is fondue in heaven. If there is not, there better be something better, because I swear it is the most wonderful thing I have ever eaten. we had strawberries, which i have been craving, grapes, bananas, and my favorite, pound cake!! MMMMMM!!!

After pure bliss was fully enjoyed in the form of chocolate and pound cake, we watched meet the Robinson's and went to bed with a tummy ache. I am not joking, I had eaten so much my stomach hurt. The baby liked it though, he was kicking all night!

This was a great birthday. Once I got past my mundane life in rexburg, Everything was wonderful. I love Jared, he makes everything so special!!!!

A tribute to my mother on my Birthday.

So yesterday was my birthday and this is how the first half of my day went; (I will tell the last half in a different post.) Jared woke me up at 6 am, he is wonderful. He made pancakes and they were so yummy, unfortunately I didn't have class till 11 and therefore could have slept in, but he didn't know that. My day began (at 6) when I realized that the dishes hadn't been done for about a week, the living room was a disaster, the bed needed to be made, and the laundry needed to be folded and put away. The bathroom needed to be scrubbed, I had no idea what we were having for dinner, and on top of that, I had class. It was while I was debating weather to spend my birthday doing these various chores, that my thoughts wandered to days gone past. Birthdays for me have always been a big deal, I had to have a big party, with lots of people and presents, cake, ice cream etc. Something my mom did that was special for us was that we got to pick what was going to be for dinner on our birthday, chicken divan, pizza, fajitas, what ever we wanted, she would make it. I remember Dad's birthday was right after Christmas, but she still, every year, made an effort to make it a special day. She would make a cake, buy and wrap him some socks, and we would sing happy birthday. You get what I am trying to get at, it seemed that Mom always went out of her way to make our birthdays special. But then as I was making the bed in preparation to fold the laundry, I realized, I don't really remember any of Mom's birthdays. I don't remember having a cake or singing happy birthday. Who cooked Mom's specially selected birthday dinner...her? What was she doing on her special day, probably the laundry and the dishes and scrubbing the bathroom. You get my point right? So I raise my birthday toast to moms, especially mine, who still have dishes, diapers and dinners to attend to on their birthdays. I can't wait for next year!

Hair loss at 28 weeks.

So today at our doctors appointment I had to get a rogam shot, and Jared thought for sure that the doctor said rogain. We were joking about it and I told Jared that the doctor must have noticed his receding hairline and just for precaution, we would prevent the hair loss early for our little tyke. I guess that little story made the fact that I had to get the shot a little easier. It hurt really bad.
