Why the heck not?

Yes mam'... me and these old tennis shoes ran today.

I have always been envious of people who run for pleasure. I have always wanted to be a runner. I wish I could run more than 60 seconds.

Sadly, I am not any of the above, and honestly running scares the heck out of me, but seriously...

Why can't I be a runner? (besides the fact that it hurts to breath.)

Why can't I run a 5k? (forget the fact that I can't even run a mile.)

Why can't I be in shape? (but my couch is so comfy.)

WHY THE HECK NOT?

So today I did it. Day one of the couch to 5k.

In my book I am a rock star... it was sort of liberating... and painful.

I was going to recommend a good website for training, but see you found one! Good for you Kristen!!! You will soon find you actually look forward to it because of the outlet. That's how I overcame my blues and ran my first 5K on Thanksgiving day. If I can do it, you definately can!!! Way to GO!!!!

You're my hero, Kristen! I wish we could be training partners! Sadly, I'm horrible with fitness commitment! Okay, actually it's the follow thru that I have a problem with. I have dreams of being physically fit. But I'm just so darned lazy!

I did a 5k once, I didn't train for it so I didn't run the whole time, but I felt pretty proud of my 45 minutes it took lol. Kudos to you Kristen!! Oh and hey I promise to be a volleyball this Thursday!! Hope to see you there.

Did I ever tell you I gave up? Well, anyway, good luck to you! Maybe I'll try again this spring. Maybe.

PS I know you can do it, because you are not a quitter, you go girl!

Why the heck not-Love it! I am about to go make cookies but this post has convinced me to only eat one cookie instead of 7 :) I want to do a 5k too. Good Luck!

Yay! I always love to hear that people are exercising. Running is my favorite form of exercise (as you probably knew already). Mostly it clears my head and I feel so accomplished. You can do it girl! I trained for a 5k my freshman year of college with a girl who had never done any running and now she runs them on her own. You can do it!
