Woodland

I feel a little like when you find out your pregnant but only 10 weeks a long.

Its like harboring a HUGE, gigantic, awesome, juicy secret that you want to shout to the world but you don't want to jinx it or have to retract it when things don't work out as planned.

Also,  kind of like morning sickness... shopping, planning, bidding, and paying for a house makes me sick. I am not joking, I have literally been physically and emotionally sick since starting this process.

All of that awkward rambling aside... WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!

Well, kind of like announcing too early that you are preggers, it is a little early in the game.
They accepted out offer (we have made 5 on 5 other houses and been outbid on every single one) but we had the inspection today. It feels A LOT more official now, and I am finally letting myself get excited.
She is in need of some love, since she has been neglected for who knows how long. No, this is not all we could afford, we have been looking for a good fixer upper for a long time. Thank goodness for a manly, carpenter hubby.

I am hoping to force myself to journal the process here. I might only get the before and after, or maybe just the before.

Just like having a baby, we are super excited and cant wait to treat her right.

They left Joseph and Jesus for us. I am guessing it is good luck, but I am not very superstitious.

Superstitious or not, Buttons do have a special place in my heart and finding a button is a good sign for me. Two different times that we have been to the house Kemiry has found a button. I don't believe in coincidences!

Fresh and Clean

Kroten was baptized this weekend, on his birthday. My heart is truly full and I know without a doubt that God is real and that he loves us.

Kroten is such a good boy. He has a strong knowlege of the gospel and he has a strong testimony that God is aware of him.

My favorite moments from Kroten's big day...
-The baptismal font was not filled before the baptism and it supposedly takes two hours to fill with warm water. They were able to fill it in 30 min or so with luke warm water.
-Kroten shared his baptism date with a little girl named Bryony, her last name is also Moss.
-We believe in baptism by immersion, and Kroten's hair almost did not go all the way under the water. Jared pushed him under just a little bit farther and Kroten was able to be fully imersed. We thought this was funny for two reasons... 1. we have made fun of Kroten's floppy hair for months telling him that it is not going to go all the way under. and 2. When he was four he said he did not want to be baptized because he was afraid that daddy would hold him under. After his baptism he said, I thought daddy wouldn't bring me up.
- As we were eating lunch that afternoon, Kroten was shaking. The excitement was too much for him.
- After he was dressed, he told me that he was so nervous and he had a big smile inside when he saw the crowd and he had to try really hard not to let it out. I told him he could have smiled, but I think he was trying to be reverent.

Numbers

Kemiry is an interesting kiddo. She is very smart. Her teacher raves about her consistently. She is learning and growing like a weed. She is reading above a first grade level and she loves math. Homework is one of her favorite things to do.
One of her silly things is to number everything. She got a post it note pad for Christmas and numbered all of the prices before using them. I just found this composition notebook and every single page was numbered.

Maybe she will be an accountant?

Garden of Eden

Kemiry taught he lesson tonight about the garden of Eden. We all imagined what it would look like and drew our rendition. #Familyhomeevening

When I become president

Kroten is reading a book called "bad kitty runs for president."

When he finished he book tonight he said "when I become president I am going to make it legal for everyone to print their own money."

We had to have a conversation about why that would not work. This included if everyone was rich, who would pump our gas, who would grow our food, who would take care of you at the hospital? He replied that as president he would let people print their own money but they would also be forced to work.

Watch out America... 2044 Kroten Moss for president.

I'll take it.

Woke up to lots of silence which is curious. I was hoping the kids were still asleep, but instead I found this...

I'll take it.

Valentine

Making valentines for kids in their class.

I am not sure how long I can get them to hand make the valentines. Every year I expect them to ask to get hello kitty or Spider-Man cards, but so far I have been able to get them to hand make them each year. They love to paper craft it is a daily activity. Drawing, cutting, coloring, glueing. Give them a stack of paper and they are happy.

Just another day on the Oregon coast
