Cast off.
We read a scripture verse tonight about being "cast off" and Kroten said...
"Being cast off means being in a dark cave with one light on and a toy you don't like and you play with it forever and ever!"
Yeah, that is pretty much what I think hell will be like. ;)

My running buddy.
He rides his bike and I run. Its perfect because a mile is about all he can do. He starts complaining at about an eighth of a mile everytime. Its great because i have to cheer him on and don't think about how much i hate it. plus its spending time together. Win win.

bad mom moment.
This made me feel like a horrible mother, but it is too cute to not share.
Jared has been working a ton lately, and I have to admit that he is the one who plays and rough houses with the kids.
One particular evening, K-man knew that Jared was at work.
Kemiry and I were folding laundry while Kroten played a video game in a separate room. I tickled kem and threw her on the bed and she was giggling pretty loudly. Kroten came into the room we were in with a HUGE smile on his face, I thought he was just excited to join in, but, when he came around the corner his countenance sunk and he said "where is daddy?" I told him that he is at work and that he knew that. Then he responded, "Then why is Kemiry Laughing?"
I was really sad at first that he thought, is it soooo impossible that I could make a toddler laugh? But I quickly thought of how wonderful of a husband I have that the kiddos look forward to their time with daddy. I am grateful for such a wonderful man, and for the occasional giggles, that I can force out of my babies.
The family conversation in the car...
Kroten (with great excitement) "When Kemiry gets married, she can have a baby in her tummy."
Kemiry (giggling loudly) "That is silly. Silly brother."
Kroten "but she can't marry me because she will still be my sister. But she can live with me."
Daddy "But who will you marry?"
Kroten "We will see."
Mommy "Kroten, will you have a baby in your tummy?"
Kroten "No, that is for wifes."

Who teaches these kids this stuff????
